The prosecutor's chair, and the seat across from it.
David Cannady worked as a Florida prosecutor before founding DUI Lawyers Shield Firm. That experience shows him how the state builds a DUI charge, how prosecutors evaluate one, and where a case can be challenged. That perspective sits at the center of every case the firm accepts.
He founded the firm to bring prosecutorial insight to Florida DUI defense, as a working method rather than a marketing line. Every case is worked from the state's angle first: How would this be prosecuted? Where are the weak points? Where does the evidence not do what the state needs it to do? Then the defense strategy is built from those answers.
Approach to Florida DUI cases
David treats a Florida DUI arrest as two cases in parallel. The criminal case moves through the court schedule. The administrative license case moves through the Florida DHSMV. Both matter, both have hard deadlines, and both benefit from a defense that starts on day one.
Preparation starts with the evidence: every report, every video and every record the state produces.
